About Us: How We Ended Up Raising Chickens....

And Made A Website About Chickens

Andy and Brad

We live in a small rural town 35 miles South of Atlanta, Ga. (Milner, Ga.).

My journey to raising chickens is a little different from Andy's. But, by some act of fate (maybe because both of us have birthdays on September 7th.) we ended up in the same place.

Life Throws a Curveball.

My biggest passions in life are travel and deep sea fishing. I realized back in late 2006 that my life was not going exactly as I had planned. I had spent the last 10 years working 14 to 16 hour days, building up my businesses. I owned an Ace hardware, property management company, flooring store, construction company and several pieces of real estate. I had become more successful than I ever imagined. But, I discovered that all that success did not make me happy. I assumed at some point I would hire someone to over see all my businesses and I would be able to spend more time with family and friends.

What goes up must come down.

When the economy started to unravel, so did my businesses. The time and energy that I had invested building my future income all came crumbling down around me. I can actually say this was one of the worst times in my life.

The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me.

I wish I could say that it was just a small set-back. But, it was more of a life altering experience. It took almost three years of struggling to hold on and in the end I lost my home, businesses, and many friends or people I thought were friends.

My Biggest Question Was.... How am I Going To Start Over In This Crappy Economy?

The Answer came to me two years earlier, I just failed to recognize it. I was searching the internet for ideas of things to do, when I came across SBI. After hours of reading and watching videos, I was convinced I had found the answer.

I told my wife about this, she did her own research and came to the same conclusion I did. So we purchased not one but two SBI sites. After months of procrastination neither one of us found the energy or motivation to get started. After looking back I realized that I was not in the right frame of mind to start a new business. I was being harassed by lawsuits and creditors and the stress was unbearable.

Fast Forward Two Years.

Now, that I have put my problems behind me I am able to think clearly. When I kept asking myself what I wanted to do with my life, I could only think of one thing. I wanted to do something that I loved, and did not want to be stuck in a 9 to 5 job. All I could think about is how soul draining it would be to work doing something that I didn't enjoy.

I Kept Telling Myself That It Does Not Exist.

The more I looked the more convinced I became that this type of job did not exist (do what you love and the money will follow). Yeah, I have heard that a million times. But, when I finally started thinking with a more positive outlook the answer kept coming to me over and over. SBI...SBI...SBI.

Here's What Happened.

Here's What I Did.

Andy is a school teacher and baseball coach at a local high school and summer break was quickly approaching. Andy had recently began the process of a divorce and I knew that he needed something to take his mind off of this with all the free time he was about to have. And as it so happens I was looking for something to do also. I decided to tell Andy about SBI. He had a lot of questions and went home to do his own research. A few days later he called me and said, "lets do it." We spent six days a week, 10 to 12 hours each day for three months working on our web business. Most people do not have the free time that Andy and I had when we first started. That's okay many people start out slow and take their time. SBI's mascot is the tortoise.

Here's What We Knew About Building Web Sites.

Nothing, or should I say here's what we didn't know:

  • We had no clue how to build a website.
  • We did not know what a keyword was.
  • We did not know what web traffic was.
  • To sum it all up, we knew absolutely nothing about building a web based business. In fact, I knew my writing abilities would not pass third grade. But, after watching the video's and listening to Ken(SBI founder), I started believing I could do this. I had nothing to lose and decided to give it another try.

    Voices In My Head.

Every now and then negative thoughts would creep into my head:

  • This is a scam.
  • What if I am wasting my time and money?
  • People will laugh when I tell them I am building a web based business.
  • BLAH...BLAH...BLAH...
  • You Must Have Faith.

Between Andy and I we had invested approximately 200 man hours between us, before we realized that this thing actually works.

Each person will experience it in a different way. Once you realize that SBI works, you will look at your life in a whole different way.

It feels like the guard in the maximum security prison has opened your cell door and tells you that you are free to go.

All I can say is that once you open Pandora's box their is no going back. Now, all that being said, this will not be an easy process. If it was easy everybody would be doing it. There will be times that you will want to give up. Don't, you must push through and get over the hump.

Will everybody who buys SBI be successful? No, but those who are will never regret the day they started the SBI process. This is not a GET-RICH-QUICK business. this is a slow process that builds over time.

Think of it as an old vintage wine, the more it ages the better it will be. Put all the hard work in the beginning and you will reap rewards you only used to dream of.

    You Can Do This.

You do not need any computer skills to be successful at building your new web business. What you do need is your brain and motivation. Solo Build It will provide all the rest. They will walk you through step by step holding your hand, showing you how to do everything.

You may think that you do not have the knowledge or skills to build your on web based business. I can tell you, that if I can do this, I know you can.

Everyone has a passion about something, don't say that you do not have one. If you didn't you would not have a reason to live.

Solo Build It will help you find that passion, I know because I use to think that I did not have one. I now know I have a lot of them and look forward to developing all of them.

Look at this video tour to help you decide if this is right for you (or the quick tour if you are on dial-up).

Here is an example of (hundreds of successful Solo Build It web sites) built by normal people just like you. All these sites represent the top 1% of all websites in the world. I think once you look at a few of these sites you will see that you to can do this.

50% of all SBI'ers own more than one website. That number alone should convince you of how successful this program is. Why would anyone buy another website if they were not successful with their first one.

Andy and I have just started building our second site. It will be a travel site about Panama. We both have a passion for this country and have spent quite a bit of time there.

If you need more inspiration go here to review what these SBI'ers have done.

Try Solo Build It because if we can do it, you can do it.
