Teenager diagnosed with Asperger's is fighting to keep his chickens, and is highly functional, articulate, intelligent, and has grown academically and socially being responsible for the care in raising his chickens. He does speak on news interviews, community board meetings, etc.
If you can send information that would be of help to this cause, to help Joey's fight to keep his chickens, I will be most grateful. If you know of other examples or articles that may help with the legalities in this matter, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Chickens as Therapeutic Pets

Thank you so much for telling us about this.

I was going to post the link you gave at the top of your message, on our Facebook page, but the page could not by found by Google or Firefox with this link.

There seem to be many articles on the internet concerning the benefit of animals in the lives of people diagnosed with Asperger's. And we have probably all read stories about the many health benefits in caring for animals to all kinds of people around the world. I couldn't find anything specific about Joey. I personally have a lot of chicken experience, but not experience with Asperger's.

You are most welcome to post a link to Joey's plight on our Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/RaisingChickensORG/

or write back here if you can find a better link to his story.

Thanks so much for writing in.
